And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
Many of us desire to make a difference and be used by GOD. But we all do not believe that GOD would choose us to do something that would make a significant impact. Both Scripture and history show that GOD often chooses to reveal His power through those we least expect. GOD delights in using ordinary people to do extra-ordinary things!
We can be used by GOD. He desires that we step out in faith so that He can reveal Himself through us. How can this happen? What might be some steps taken towards becoming useable?
We should realize that GOD sees us in a different light th an we see ourselves .
But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7
We also need to understand GOD's standard for our hearts .
I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. Psalm 102:2
His plan is that we live a blameless life, not just in outward appearance, but that we will also have a blameless heart where only He can see. This is a supernatural plan. It is something only GOD can work into our lives. It allows us to become vessels of honor useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.
To live a blameless life involves some sacrifice and dedication, but it can be accomplished with the aid of the Almighty GOD.
A place to start in the quest for a blameless life might be in self examination. Examining ourselves in the light of GOD's Word helps us to see ourselves as GOD sees us. But the thrill of that understanding is that once we can see our sin and our shortcomings, we can take appropriate action. That action is simply to admit sin, confess it and move on to the next step in living a blameless life.
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
When searching to live a blameless life we should explore for ourselves the truth of GOD's will . When we explore the truth of GOD's will, we realize He wants us to experience both His forgiveness and His cleansing. GOD's will is like a bolt from heaven to earth! It is a real thrill of hope and an encouragement to believe that His will for all of us is a changed life, not simply a forgiven life. He will give us all we need so that we can be all He wants.
