Israeli leaders must understand broad implications of North Korean nuke test
One needs to be deaf, blind, and an idiot at this time in order not to understand that the nuclear bomb tested in North Korea two days ago also exploded in the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem.
The North Koreans blatantly disregarded the Americans and publically presented them as a meaningless power, yet officials in Jerusalem are still reciting the “Road Map” and making note of the evacuation of some minor West Bank outpost. The world is changing before our eyes, yet here we see Knesset members earnestly explaining that the Americans will agree that we stay in Judea and Samaria if we only evacuate some tin shacks. …more…
Clinton Promises New US Proposals for Mideast Peace

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Wednesday the Obama administration will soon present “very specific proposals” to Israel and the Palestinians on how to advance toward a two-state solution to the Middle East conflict.
She spoke after meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit, who warned that further delay in peacemaking will cause difficulties extending beyond the Middle East.
Clinton spoke amid a flurry of U.S. diplomacy on the Middle East, with U.S. envoy George Mitchell holding closed-door talks in London this week with senior Israeli officials, and President Obama preparing to meet Thursday with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
Though Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who visited the White House last week, has not embraced full Palestinian statehood, Clinton said at a joint news event with her Egyptian counterpart that she and President Obama are fully committed to a two-state solution and see Egypt as an essential partner in helping realize that vision. ..more…
Beekeepers: Something is Wrong
bible-prophecy-today.blogspot.com
On a number of occasions in the past I have documented the disappearing act our honeybees are performing, commonly referred to as colony collapse disorder, and the impact it may have in relation to bible prophecy. It’s time to revisit that issue.
I’ve heard it said that one of out of every three bites of food we eat in a day exists because of honey bees. If that’s correct, we have a lot to be concerned about where the survival of the honeybee is concerned and beekeepers are sounding the alarm once again. Something is wrong, they’re telling us.
The future of earth’s food supply
As we look into the prophetic future, particularly inside the Tribulation Period, it is clear that the world’s food supply is going to become scarce.
Revelation 6:5-6: And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and [see] thou hurt not the oil and the wine.
Walvoord states that the passages above (and below) describes “a time of famine when life will be reduced to the barest necessities.”…more…
Arabs Aren’t Thrilled by the Idea of Controlling the Temple Mount
www.haaretz.com
The announcement by Nabil Abu Rudeina, spokesman of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen), to the effect that the PA is willing to transfer the holy places in Jerusalem to Islamic sovereignty in exchange for genuine Israeli compromises, was ostensibly supposed to constitute a breakthrough.
But that same Islamic sovereignty does not particularly thrill the foreign ministers of the 57 countries that met at the end of the week in Damascus for the Islamic Conference Organization. The proposal did not even come up for discussion. Instead, the participants mainly discussed the wording of the decisions condemning the construction and excavation activities being conducted by Israel in the Temple Mount area, whose purpose is the “Judaization of Jerusalem.” …more…
Western Aliyah Rises in First Four Months of 2009
www.israelnationalnews.com
Aliyah, or Jewish immigration to the Land of Israel, rose from western countries in the first four months of 2009, according to the Jewish Agency, the government body responsible for worldwide Aliyah.
In total, 749 people made Aliyah from western Europe between January and April, a positive change of 20 percent from the same period of time in 2008.
The greatest jump came in Aliyah from Great Britain – 201 British citizens arrived in Israel, a growth of 53 percent from the previous year. The Jewish Agency attributed the rise to a British campaign entitled, “Aliyah – find your way home.”…more…
