If the Vilna Gaon Was Right, the 3rd Temple is on its Way

If the 18th-century rabbinic authority the Vilna Gaon was right, on March 16, 2010, construction will begin on the third Temple. His projection states that the auspicious day will coincide with the third completion of the Hurva Synagogue in Jerusalem’s Jewish Quarter.
The great day is at hand: On March 15, the reconstructed Hurva Synagogue, considered the most important house of prayer in Jerusalem will be rededicated. It was last destroyed in the War of Independence.
However, during the reconstruction process, the Hurva has become a bone of contention between ultra-Orthodox and other Jerusalemites.
The conflict is over what kind of institution the Hurva will be. A group of secular and national-religious Jerusalemites say that if the state does not act quickly, the Hurva will become another ultra-Orthodox synagogue, where women and tourists are unwelcome.
“The government has invested millions in the restoration of the synagogue. It is a place of special value to tourists. The Jewish Quarter has dozens of synagogues and it doesn’t need another one,” said Tehila Nahlon, an activist…more…

A controversy has broken out between two sides over a serious issue. It concerns The Manhattan Declaration: A Call of Christian Conscience, which has been in the works for months and released just prior to Thanksgiving. These usurpers in Congress must be stopped, and the American people must be heard from. From a Constitutional perspective this legislation, in effect, surrenders the power of the people to the power of the government.”

Hezbollah chief broadcasts political platform, which promotes battle against ‘unlimited expansionism’
Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah laid out his political platform Monday during a speech filmed by closed-circuit cameras. The platform promotes armed battle against Israel and the US, as well as all of the latter’s protectorates.
“We see the US as a power that aims to impose hegemony in the region,” Nasrallah explained. “The Islamic resistance movement in Lebanon aims to fight this hegemony and the (Israeli) occupation.”
He said the US has been treating the globe as a market it aims to control, and that it was waging “a strategy of unlimited expansion”.
“The Bush administration found in September 11 a chance to impose his influence, with the excuse of a war on terror,” the Hezbollah leader said.
“He tried to create a parallel between terror and resistance. There is no doubt that American terror is the source of all terror in the world. This administration gave itself the right to embark on a war of destruction which does not distinguish between one man and the other.”…more…

My email lit up with the European Union’s appointment of the first official EU president. It’s as if the man given the job came on the scene with “666″ stamped upon his forehead. One such email serves as a particularly interesting example of the declarations that Antichrist has arrived. Here are some excerpts:

Van Rompuy is a Bilderberger and attended one of their meetings before his appointment, where he met and was instructed by Henry Kissinger. Don’t be fooled by his quirky looks, as it seems to have been Satan’s deliberate intention for his son/representative here on the earth to have the appearance of a harmless old man. But we all know what he is, and what he is going to be capable of. With all due respect, it would now seem that because the Antichrist has now been revealed and appointed, the possibility of the pre-tribulation theory of the rapture as being correct is looking more and more remote.

Hezbollah Vows to Keep Weapons

Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah vowed that his party would continue to build up its arsenal to protect Lebanon against Israeli aggression and accused US of exporting terrorism.
“The ongoing Israeli threat forces the resistance to continue to boost its capacity … in order to fulfill its role in liberating occupied territory,” the head of the Lebanese Shiite militant group said in a rare news conference held via videolink to present Hezbollah’s new political manifesto. “The Israeli threat … calls for Lebanon to have a defence strategy built on the presence of a popular resistance that helps to defend the country against Israeli aggression and a national army that protects the country and its stability.”
Nasrallah also accused Washington of being the world’s leading exporter of terrorism and urged nations around the globe to stand up against such a threat. “There is no question that American terrorism is the origin of all terrorism around the world,” said Nasrallah, whose party is considered a terrorist organisation by Washington. He accused former US president George W. Bush of having turned the United States into a threat for the rest of the world.
“If a survey were to be held today, the United States would be the most hated nation in the world,” said Nasrallah, who lives in hiding for fear of Israeli assassins and rarely appears in public.
“Standing up to the US threat must be a worldwide effort,” he added. “This is a delicate and difficult task … and one that will involve generations to come.” …more…
