George Barna, a pollster with an independent marketing research company, found in a recent survey that only 4% of the overall population of America and 9% of born-again Christians have a biblical world view, suggesting that many of the nation’s moral and spiritual challenges are directly attributable to this fact.

For the purposes of the research, a biblical world view was defined as believing that absolute moral truth exists, that such truth is defined by the Bible, and that the Bible is accurate in all of its teachings.

A biblical world view based upon understanding Bible prophecy is essential for an understanding of the times we live in today.

Let’s look at the provision in scripture for a biblical world view. All scripture is God breathed. That means it’s inspired and is profitable for doctrine, for correction, and instruction in righteousness, that’s II Timothy 3:16. Poll: Israelis More Secure

A poll by the War and Peace Index, published monthly by Ynet, has concluded that feelings of national and personal security are on the rise among Israel’s Jewish citizens.

Forty-nine percent of Jews in Israel ranked their personal feeling of security as high or very high, and only 19% ranked it as low, despite reports of a recent crime surge. In comparison, in April of 2007 just 42.5% ranked it as high, and 24% ranked it as low.

Regarding national security, 38% said they felt very secure and 22% said they didn’t feel secure at all. The data constitutes a considerable improvement from 2007.

Leftists were also revealed as more confident on the national front than rightists. Just 39% of rightists said they felt very secure, while 51% of those describing themselves as leftists said they felt thus…more…

IDF Preparing for US Missile Systems

The Defense Ministry is preparing for the possibility that the United States will decide to leave missile defense systems in Israel following a joint missile defense exercise the two countries will hold next month, senior officials said Sunday.

While the US has yet to announce that it will leave systems in place here, the possibility is strong, one official said, particularly in light of reports that the Pentagon was conducting a review of its European missile shield and was leaning towards deploying the systems in Turkey.

The Israeli Air Force’s Air Defense Division will hold a joint drill, called Juniper Cobra, with the US Military’s European Command (EUCOM) and the US Missile Defense Agency (MDA) next month in what is being described as the largest joint exercise ever held by the two countries, during which they will jointly test three different ballistic missile defense systems…more…
