California is continuing to slide into economic bankruptcy and God’s judgment for its promotion of laws advancing abortion and homosexuality. The day of reckoning is drawing near for this state. The state’s fiscal year starts July 1, and it is $21-24 billion in the hole! California is now facing a social meltdown as huge numbers of people are going to be cut from the welfare rolls. This alone could start riots. The state is going to open the prison doors while cutting the police!
This is all a recipe for a complete social meltdown. “The state faces an unprecedented drop in tax revenue and a widening budget deficit amid the deepest recession in decades, prompting Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to propose cost-cutting steps that once seemed unthinkable.
At stake are programs for the poor, elderly and frail, placing millions of people in the nation’s most populous state at risk of falling through a decades-old social safety net.
Ending the welfare-to-work program for mothers and their children would affect some 546,000 families, and health insurance could be eliminated for 1 million children from low-income families. Services for Alzheimer’s patients, disabled and other frail recipients of in-home care also would be greatly reduced under the governor’s latest budget proposal, leaving more than 400,000 people without such support.”
What California is now facing is an economic meltdown that is about to spill over to a social meltdown. The state is suffering from a serious drought with the possibility of massive fires. United Nations General Assembly President Miguel D’Escoto Brockmann intends to leave his mark on the United Nations and the global economic-political picture before his one-year term ends in September. D’Escoto, a longtime top official in the communist Sandinista government of Nicaragua, has chosen as his primary vehicle for making this mark the UN Conference on the World’s Financial and Economic Crisis to be held June 24-26 at the UN headquarters in New York.
The D’Escoto-UN plan, which has received scant media coverage, is nothing short of s full-blown call for world government administered through the UN. The Draft Outcome Document issued by D’Escoto on May 8, 2009 on behalf of the “G-192″ (the representatives of the 192 Member States of the UN), decries the evils of “a profit centered economy” and the current “prevailing socio-economic system” and declares: “The anti-values of greed, individualism, and exclusion should be replaced by solidarity, common good and inclusion.”
How do D’Escoto and his UN comrades propose to accomplish this? The 19-page document lays out a Sandinista-style Marxist-Leninist program for the entire planet that involves global government, with a huge new global bureaucracy exercising vast powers over all human activity.
Point 78 of the document’s 80-point program proclaims:

Mitchell Presents US Land Swap Plan That Leaves Israel Settlement Blocs in Place

Western sources report that President Barack Obama’s Middle East envoy George Mitchell presented Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas with a new American plan for swapping territory when they met in Ramallah Wednesday June 10. DEBKAfile’s sources report that this plan holds the prospect of leaving the major Jewish West Bank settlements blocs under Israeli sovereignty in return for handing Israeli land to the Palestinians.
This plan indicates that expectations of a major crisis between the Obama administration and the Netanyahu government over the settlement issue were exaggerated. It means that if the large Jewish blocs and East Jerusalem districts are to stay in Israeli hands, Washington will have no cause to object to their expansion to accommodate population growth.
Prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu will be delivering a major speech Sunday evening, June 14, at Bar Ilan University in which he promises to spell out his government’s positions on peace and security. Tuesday night, he and the US envoy held a four-hour discussion, half of that time without advisers.

The Philadelphia Women’s Center gave away free abortions Tuesday in honor of Dr. George Tiller, the abortionist who was murdered last week by an anti-abortion extremist.
A worker at the clinic said that an unspecified number of free abortions had been performed during the day, but that they had stopped giving them away by late afternoon. She also said that there had not been free abortion giveaways in the past, and that there were no plans to give any away in the future. Under normal circumstances, abortions would not be au gratis at the clinic.
But they were today, in honor of Dr. Tiller’s “memory and legacy.”
“It’s really sad that they would give away for free without recognizing that in an emotional sense the abortion is very costly,” said Dr. Charmaine Yoest, President and CEO of Americans United for Life. The giveaway happened on the same day the family of Dr. Tiller announced the closing of his clinic in Wichita, Kansas. The closing means that only two clinics that perform late-term abortions will remain open in the United States.
“We are proud of the service and courage shown by our husband and father and know that women’s healthcare needs have been met because of his dedication and service,” the family said in the statement. “That is a legacy that will never die. The family will honor Dr. Tiller’s memory through private charitable activities.” The family has ensured the privacy of the clinic’s patient records and information.
Katherine Spillar, executive vice president of the group Feminist Majority, told the Los Angeles Times that the clinic’s closing did not represent a setback for the pro-life movement.
“This is not a victory for them,” she said.
