Second Coming of Christ Threat to World Peace According to War College Report

www.freedomsphoenix.com

In a sixty-one page report that he prepared as a monograph for a  thesis at the U.S. Army School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS) and United States General Command and General Staff located at Leavenworth, Kansas, Major Brian L. Stuckert in no uncertain terms has declared that those who believe in “Dispensational Millennialism” (DM), i.e., the literal return of Jesus Christ to this earth to reign on His throne for 1,000 years, to be the enemies of America and totally unsuitable to serve in a leadership capacity in the U.S. military.

In fact he even goes further than that with his preposterous ideas. He clearly says that those with these kinds of religious beliefs, spawned by a literal interpretation of the scriptures, are an actual danger to world peace, and will in fact, if allowed to influence “public policy” via the military, bring America to total defeat in the world arena.

This report, prepared in 2008, was approved by several high ranking officers including Dr. Tim Challans, PhD., Monograph Director.  Challans is a professor at SAMS, a West Point graduate, and the author of Awakening Warrior: Revolution in the Ethics of Warfare. In this book, he not only castigates America for dropping the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but also undermines the ethics of our military by writing that army chaplains “should get out of the ethics business in the military.”

John McTernan a former Treasury agent from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, who was one of the first to reveal this report, gives the following analysis of Stuckert’s superior officers who approved this venomous study:
“The review of both Professor Challans’ interview and book revealed treasonous views about America and an anti-Christian bias. Strategic Implications of American Millennialism fits directly with the thinking of Professor Challans. Major Stuckert’s thesis was signed off by Robert F. Baumann, Ph.D. and Robert Taylor and Stefan J Banach, both Colonels at the School of Advanced Military Studies.
I spoke with Colonel Banach, Director of SAMS, who defended this thesis based on free speech grounds. From my conversation with the colonel, I obtained the distinct impression he was in agreement with its contents.”

Syria Sends Hezbollah Scuds in Disassembled Batches

Syria has smuggled three consignments of disassembled Scud A ground missile components across the border to the Lebanese Hizballah, debkafile disclose from Middle East intelligence and military sources Friday, April 23. They do not add up to a complete set of parts for an operational Scud missile. However, another five shipments, awaiting handover at Syrian border bases will provide the missing elements for complete weapons.
Israel’s defense minister Ehud Barak disclosed Friday night that Syria had transferred “Scud missile parts” to Lebanon, refusing to elaborate. But he accused Syria of providing Hizballah with game-changing weapons which jeopardized regional stability.
According to Western intelligence sources, Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad put in an urgent phone call to Syrian president Bashar Assad Thursday, April 22, to urge Assad to make as many Scud transfers to Lebanon as possible and enable Hizballah to deploy them opposite Israel without delay. He implied that speed was necessary because Iran is preparing to strike out against US Middle East interests and he wants Iran’s Lebanese proxy to be ready for all possible eventualities. The Iranian president dismissed Israel as a declining force with its political and military strength in a state of paralysis.

Netanyahu Amenable to Palestinian State Within Temporary Borders

www.haaretz.com

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is amenable to an interim agreement in the West Bank that would include the establishment of a Palestinian state within temporary borders.

Netanyahu considers such an interim step a possible way to unfreeze the stalled political process that was created because of the Palestinian leadership’s refusal to resume talks on a final settlement. However, the prime minister insists on delaying discussion on the final status of Jerusalem to the end of the process, and refuses to agree to a freeze on Jewish construction in East Jerusalem.

Netanyahu and his aides have held intensive contacts in recent days with representatives of the U.S. administration in an effort to contain the crisis in the relations between the two countries.

The prime minister will meet Friday with U.S. Middle East envoy George Mitchell, who is visiting Jerusalem, and will continue talks that senior Israeli officials held with White House official Dan Shapiro. Mitchell met with Defense Minister Ehud Barak earlier Friday, and was to head to Ramallah later in the day for talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

There have been signals from the White House in recent days of a willingness to see an improvement in relations with Netanyahu. The signals included appeasing messages highlighting U.S. commitment to Israel’s security, and peaked with President Barack Obama’s Independence Day greeting. Senior aides to the president, including his chief of staff Rahm Emanuel and National Security Adviser, General James Jones, also publicly expressed their support of the strong ties between the two countries.

North Korea Hinting at 3rd Nuke Test

North Korea may be preparing to carry out a third nuclear test, analysts and a high-ranking defector said Wednesday, citing language in state media hinting of an impending crisis on the peninsula.

Speculation that communist North Korea might conduct another nuclear test, in defiance of U.N. Security Council resolutions, grew after the South Korean cable network YTN reported Tuesday that the North has been preparing since February to conduct a test in May or June. YTN cited an unidentified diplomatic source.

Tensions are high on the Korean peninsula in the wake of the deadly sinking of a South Korean navy ship near the maritime border with North Korea.

Foreign Minister Yu Myung-hwan said he had no information to suggest preparations for a nuclear test were underway.

However, analysts and a former North Korean official said recent statements hint of preparations for another nuclear test.

State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley told reporters Wednesday that North Korea must come back to nuclear disarmament talks and fulfill its commitment to give up its nuclear programs.

“We will not accept North Korea as a nuclear weapons state,” Crowley said. “Its current path is a dead end.”

He said that if the North meets its obligations, it can have a different relationship with the United States and the world.

Earlier this month, North Korea’s Foreign Ministry said in comments carried by the state-run Korean Central News Agency that the regime would “increase and modernize” its nuclear arsenal to defend against the United States.

Christian Leader: Militant Gay Agenda Seen in New Sex Course

network.nationalpost.com

The social conservative leaders who led the charge against Ontario’s now-postponed overhaul of the province’s sex-education curriculum were among many who had complaints about the explicit nature of some of the subject matter, and the young age of some of the children who would be taught it.

But the leaders went a lot further with their concerns, charging the reforms were part of a larger political agenda to make homosexuality more acceptable to society and to influence young children to “practise” homosexuality.

Charles McVety and Brian Rushfeldt, both representing conservative Christian groups, raised warnings this week about Ontario’s new Health and Physical Education Curriculum for Grades 1-8, saying it would corrupt children and society. They were calling for a one-day boycott of students and a massive demonstration at Queen’s Park.

But yesterday, Dalton McGunity, the Ontario Premier, said he was putting the plan on hold for further study and wider consultation.

The new plan, which would have come into effect in September, would have introduced discussions about gender identity and same-sex relationships in Grade 3, masturbation in Grade 6 and the dangers of oral, vaginal and anal sex in Grade 7, as well as descriptions of safe-sex practices.
