Hizbullah leader says Shiite group will make Lebanese army ’strong’ if it wins upcoming elections, adding that ‘option of another conflict with Israel exists, but remains far off’
“The option of another conflict against Israel is still far off, although it does exist,” Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah said Friday in a televised speech marking nine year’s since the IDF’s withdrawal from south Lebanon.
“The Israelis will continue with their targeted killings policy, as they did with (senior Hizbullah commander Imad) Mugniyah, and (attempt to undermine Hizbullah) with the help of the spy networks that are currently being exposed and by presenting us as a terror group,” Nasrallah said in his speech.
The Hizbullah secretary-general mentioned former Israeli Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom’s “attempt to recruit the world against us and convince countries to place us on their list of terror organizations.”
Nasrallah continued to say that the Shiite group would “arm the Lebanese army and make it strong” should it win the upcoming elections, and suggested that the Lebanese government turn to Iran for military aide, saying Iran would “gladly” supply it…more…
Former Defense Sec. Perry Military Options Needed for N. Korea
www.newsmax.com
The United States should consider a range of coercive measures against North Korea, including possible military action, for diplomacy to have a chance of success, former Defense Secretary William Perry said Thursday.
Perry emphasized that he was not recommending military action against North Korea now but said the United States should at least consider escalating to military action if other lesser coercive measures prove ineffective.
“We could have stopped this last nuclear test if we had chosen to do so. We could have stopped the first one had we chosen to do so,” he told an audience at the Council on Foreign Relations…more…
Obama Tells Jews Where They Can Live
bible-prophecy-today.blogspot.com
Barack Obama is taking what he and his administration refer to as “a more balanced approach to Middle East policy.”
Let me explain what that literally means in real terms.
It means the U.S. government is now using its clout with Israel to insist Jews, not Israelis, mind you, but Jews, be disallowed from living in East Jerusalem and the historically Jewish lands of Judea and Samaria, often referred to as the West Bank.
I want you to try to imagine the outrage, the horror, the outcry, the clamoring, the gnashing of teeth that would ensue if Arabs or Muslims were told they could no longer live in certain parts of Israel – let alone their own country.
Of course, that would never happen with “a more balanced approach to the Middle East.”
It’s the 1930s all over again. This time, it’s the enlightened liberal voices of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama who are telling Jews where they can live, how they can live and how far they must bend if they want to live at all…more…
Malaria May be Developing Resistance to Main Drugs
www.telegraph.co.uk
Malaria could be developing resistance to the most effective type of drug, potentially threatening the lives of millions.
Tests have picked up disturbing signs that treatments based on artemisinin are becoming less effective at combating the disease, which affects 250 million people in the world a year, causing a million deaths. Experts have warned that the trend could signal a global health catastrophe.
Artemisinin treatments are currently the most effective way of fighting multi-drug resistant strains of malaria available. They usually clear the disease from the blood within three days. But studies of patients in western Cambodia have shown that they are taking longer to do so than before.
It is considered to be an early warning sign that the parasite is developing resistance…more…

Board imposes homosexual curriculum on classes
A California school district has approved a mandatory homosexual curriculum for children as young as 5 – and parents will not be allowed to remove their children from the lessons.
The mandatory program, officially titled “LGBT Lesson #9,” was approved May 26 by the Alameda County Board of Education by a vote of 3-2. Students from kindergarten through fifth grade will learn about “tolerance” for the homosexual lifestyle beginning next year.
The curriculum is in addition to the school’s current anti-bullying program and is estimated to cost $8,000 for curriculum and training.
Parents will not be given an opportunity to opt-out of lessons that go against their religious beliefs. Some parents are threatening to sue the school board and mount a recall. Opponents presented a petition with 468 signatures from people who don’t want the homosexual lessons in the curriculum…more…
