Obama Isn’t the Antichrist… He’s Just Acting Like It!

Revelation 13 succinctly spells out that someday in the future a person will head a system that will control the world politically, economically and religiously. At the beginning of his seven year reign, the Antichrist will first endear himself to the unsuspecting and gullible masses who are more than ready to crown him king of the world. Then, through a series of circumstances and controls “for the good of the earth,” the Man of Sin and his lieutenants will begin to systematically eliminate anyone who resists his “benevolent” rule. Eventually, claiming that he is indeed “god,” he will ruthlessly command the complete devotion of the peoples of the world. Before those dark days can unfold however, there will be an extended period of conditioning and preparation. Prophetically speaking, this is surely where we are in time.
A piece in that conditioning and preparation puzzle happens to be one of the most ominous items to cross my radar in many years. It was a little noticed recent amendment made by Barak Obama to a longstanding Presidential Executive Order (#12425) issued in 1983 by President Reagan.1
In essence, what Obama decreed on December 17 gave INTERPOL agents the right and ability to operate as an untouchable police force with unquestioned and unrestrained authority inside the United States. INTERPOL, the International Criminal Police Organization, can now operate with full diplomatic immunity outside the confines of the U.S. Constitution to investigate, interrogate, and theoretically arrest anyone they see fit without the cooperation of the FBI or any state or local law enforcement.
Our courts and judges would also be without recourse to stop them from simply doing as they want with ANY U.S. citizen. If you are concerned about so-called “hate crimes” legislation, then just imagine a politically correct international police force with known ties to Muslim countries operating unabated in our land. Could it be that while they go about rounding up suspected terrorists, arms dealers, and murderous thugs, they might also be used to clamp down on anyone exercising the once honored but now dissipating right of free speech? It’s no secret that the current leadership of our nation despises opposition and appears poised to try most anything to squelch it. Antichrist will conceivably begin his regime in like fashion, marginalizing and intimidating all who would publically stand against tyrannical powers, or expose moral evils, or who would dare perpetrate the greatest atrocity – that being to proclaim that Jesus is the only true Savior.
Positive ID Seeks Diabetic Guinea Pigs for Chip Implant Study

PositiveID (PSID) is to begin a study of its Health Link implantable microchip in diabetic, hypertensive and obese patients.
The study –like everything else associated with the company formerly known as VeriChip — is bound to be controversial. The Health Link chip is implanted under a patient’s skin. It can be scanned to access the patient’s online medical records. The company’s critics fear the chip will one day become mandatory, leading to a complete loss of medical privacy, or that Americans will be unable to receive healthcare unless they get chipped.
BNET has noted that PositiveID also owns a credit monitoring and identity-theft prevention company, Steel Vault, and that it envisions its chips being linked to Google (GOOG), Microsoft (MSFT) and employers. PositiveID linked credit monitoring and the Health Link chip in its most recent 10-Q.
While PositiveID’s press release gives few specifics, it indicates that the study will have something to do with the Health Link chip and customers of HealthScreenDirect, a company that offers screening for diabetes and high cholesterol.
Hamas 2010 Budget Mainly ‘Foreign Aid’ From Iran

Hamas has approved a $540 million budget for 2010, the lion’s share of which was said to come from Iranian aid.
The Hamas parliament approved the 2010 budget on Dec. 31, but legislators provided no details. One parliamentarian, Jamal Nasser, said that no more than $60 million of the budget would come from taxes and fees. “The rest would come from gifts and foreign aid,” Nasser said.
Nasser announced the passage of the Hamas budget on Jan. 2. He did not identify the foreign aid, but Palestinian sources said Iran would be the main donor.
The Hamas legislator said $30 million of Hamas funds would be relayed to bolster the Islamic presence in Jerusalem. Nasser did not elaborate.
Palestinian sources said Hamas’s biggest revenue-earner was the tunnel smuggling industry, reported to employ about 30,000 people in the southern Gaza Strip. The Hamas government contains 32,000 employees, about two-thirds of them security officers.
Syria Will Back Hezbollah Against IDF

If Israel were to attack Hizbullah in Lebanon, Syria would respond and not sit idly by, the Qatari Al Watan newspaper quoted unnamed Syrian sources as saying in a report published Wednesday.
The sources reportedly added that Damascus considered any threat to Lebanon’s security and stability as a threat to Syria’s security.
The paper reported that Damascus was worriedly taking notice of “Israeli deployment and maneuvers along the northern border,” and that Syrian leadership assessed Israel was planning a military operation in Lebanon in May.
US officials have purportedly notified the Lebanese government that if it does not manage to disarm Hizbullah, “Israel plans to invade the country all the way to Beirut,” the Syrian sources told the newspaper.
According to Al Watan, the sources said that “this is a message to both Syria and Lebanon.” On Sunday, a senior Beirut-based Hamas official said that his group would work side-by-side with Hizbullah in the next war against Israel, Army Radio reported.
Joel Osteen Blesses Houston’s New (Gay) Mayor

Annise Parker, the newly-elected happens-to-be-lesbian mayor of Houston was sworn in Monday and the opening prayer was given by … Rev. Joel Osteen.
Is your head spinning? Osteen heads the nation’s most mega of evangelical non-denominational megachurches, Lakewood Church in Houston where about 45,000 people cycle through a revamped sports stadium for services every weekend.
Osteen has been all over telling folks (Larry King, Whoopi Goldberg) for years that homosexuality is not “God’s best.” I presume he means “God’s best choice” because otherwise I’m lost in the dropped or implied rest of the sentence. But “God’s best” is phrase Osteen never finishes so I’m just guessing.
Yet, Osteen hasn’t joined the more strident wing of the religious right in damning gays. Indeed, Osteen takes heat from other evangelicals who condemn him for not laying down a line of fire about sin of any kind. That’s not his style, says the preacher known for his broad smile and sermons that God wants you to be happy. Osteen’s best seller was titled, Your Best Life Now.
Now (hat tip to Mark Silk for pointing me to the Box Turtle Bulletin) writer Timothy Kincaid suggests to his gay readership that they look at Osteen more fully and fairly. Kincaid’s post (which carries a disclaimer that others on the staff of the webzine don’t necessarily agreed) says:
I think it would be useful for our community to adopt a more nuanced view of religious leaders. By doing so, we might find ourselves with unexpected allies.
Joel Osteen does not agree with my understanding of Scripture; but his disagreement does not make him a hater or a bigot. And I recognize the value in having a lesbian politician — elected despite her opponent’s religion-based homophobic campaign — being given blessing by the pastor of the largest congregation in the nation.
