Mark 13:7,8 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled; for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.
John 14:15-21 If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Ive heard people say the end times has to be near because of all the weird things happening, how can we know how close we really are?
Can the rapture come in this lifetime or how can we really know?
It’s true that there are many things happening now that could make us concerned about the time being close, but the most important concern is are we ready.
When we’re ready, our focus can turn away from us, and on to them, are they ready, and what can I do to make them aware the time is near.
We’re so glad that someone told us about Jesus, and to have our “fire insurance”. Wouldn’t someone else be just as glad that we took the time to tell them, and share scriptures about knowing how to be ready.
I heard a pastor talk about the rapture, and asked who thought Jesus could come in the next 100 years. Everyone raised their hands. Then he asked who thinks He will come in the next 10 years, fewer hands remained up. The next 3 years, even less hands could stay up. The next 6 months, there weren’t any hands that could believe that.
Then he said, “Watch ye therefore; for ye know not when the master of the house cometh…” Mk 13:35. Since we don’t know the exact time, we must live like it could happen at any time.
